Convert HEIC, PNG, JPG and WebP images

Turn iPhone HEIC photos into JPG, shrink a heavy PNG screenshot, or make a WebP file that every app can open, all without changing the image's pixel size.

Add up to 50 images, choose JPG, PNG or WebP and select Convert all. Conversion runs in your browser, so nothing is uploaded to WaSize. Pick JPG for photos, PNG for screenshots and transparency, and WebP for small modern files.

Convert format

Choose an output format

Accepts JPG, PNG, WebP and HEIC. Each image keeps its pixel dimensions and is converted one at a time.

Images stay in your browser. Only the HEIC decoder and JSZip code are loaded from cdnjs; photo data is never sent there.

How do I convert an image to another format?

    1. Add your images. Choose or drop up to 50 JPG, PNG, WebP or HEIC files.
    2. Pick the output format. JPG, PNG or WebP.
    3. Set the quality. 90–92% is a sensible default for JPG and WebP photos. PNG is lossless, so it has no quality setting.
    4. Select Convert all. Each row shows the new format, dimensions and file size.
    5. Download. One image saves directly; several images download as one ZIP. You can also save single rows.

Which format should I convert to?

Use JPG for photos, PNG for screenshots, text and transparency, and WebP when you want a small file that keeps transparency. WhatsApp accepts all three for normal photo sharing.

How do I convert HEIC to JPG on Windows or Android?

Add the HEIC photos here, choose JPG and select Convert all. Safari can read HEIC on its own. In Chrome, Edge and Firefox, WaSize loads an open-source HEIC decoder the first time you add a HEIC file and converts each photo on your device. If the decoder can't load, for example when you're offline, the row tells you instead of failing silently.

    Does converting reduce quality?

Converting to PNG is lossless; converting to JPG or WebP re-compresses the image. At 90% or higher the difference is hard to see. Converting a JPG to PNG won't restore detail the JPG already lost, and it usually makes the file bigger. To make a file smaller for WhatsApp, use the image compressor instead.

    FAQ about converting image formats

How do I convert HEIC to JPG?

Add the HEIC photos, choose JPG as the output format and select Convert all. Safari reads HEIC directly; other browsers load a HEIC decoder on demand and convert the photos on your device.

    Are my images uploaded?

No. Decoding, conversion and ZIP creation happen in your browser. Only the decoder and ZIP code are loaded from cdnjs; image data is never sent there.

What happens to transparency when I convert PNG to JPG?

JPG cannot store transparency, so transparent areas become white. Choose PNG or WebP to keep them transparent.

Does converting change the image size?

The pixel dimensions stay the same unless an image is too large for browser memory, in which case the row says it was reduced. The file size changes with the format and quality.

Is location and camera data kept?

No. Converted files are re-encoded from the pixels, so EXIF details such as location and camera model are not copied.

Sources and how we checked this page

Format behavior follows the browser Canvas API. HEIC decoding outside Safari uses the pinned heic2any library, and ZIP creation uses the pinned JSZip library, both shown in this page's source. The format recommendations are WaSize advice, not WhatsApp requirements. Last checked October 26, 2026.
