Privacy and data
Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 6, 2026
WaSize respects your privacy. This policy explains what information may be collected when you use wasize.com, why it may be collected, who may receive it, and the choices available to you.
Who is responsible for your information?
The WaSize team operates this website from India. For questions or privacy requests, email eldhopaulose125@gmail.com.
Information we collect
Images you edit
WaSize uses browser technology, including the HTML Canvas API, to resize and compress images locally. Your selected images stay on your device and are not transmitted to WaSize. Closing or refreshing the page clears the working image from the page.
Information you send to us
If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you include in your message. Please do not send sensitive personal information or attach private images unless we specifically ask for them to resolve a support issue.
Server logs
Our hosting or infrastructure providers may automatically record technical data such as your IP address, browser type, device type, requested pages, referring page, date and time, and error or security events. We use logs to deliver the site, diagnose problems, prevent abuse and protect the service.
Cookies, analytics and advertising data
WaSize itself does not need an account or upload cookie to resize an image. If analytics or advertising is enabled, those providers may use cookies, local storage, IP addresses, device information and web beacons as described below and in our Cookie Policy.
How and why we use information
| Information | Purpose | Typical retention |
|---|---|---|
| Support emails | Answer questions, investigate problems and keep necessary business records. | Usually up to 24 months after the conversation ends, unless law or an ongoing dispute requires longer. |
| Technical logs | Operate, secure and troubleshoot the website. | Normally up to 90 days; security records may be retained longer when reasonably necessary. |
| Analytics data, if enabled with consent where required | Understand aggregate usage and improve the tool. | According to the configured analytics retention setting and provider policy. |
| Advertising identifiers, if ads are enabled | Serve, measure and protect advertising, subject to your choices and applicable law. | Controlled by the advertising provider and your browser or consent settings. |
Depending on where you live, our legal basis may be your consent, our legitimate interest in operating and securing WaSize, performance of a service you requested, or compliance with law. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
Google advertising and cookies
WaSize may display advertisements through Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables Google and its partners to serve ads based on visits to WaSize and/or other sites on the internet.
You can opt out of personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings. You can also review industry opt-out choices at AboutAds, where available. Opting out of personalized ads does not necessarily stop all advertising; you may still see contextual or non-personalized ads.
Learn more at How Google uses data when you use our partners' sites or apps and in Google's Privacy Policy. If WaSize adds another advertising network, this policy and the consent interface will identify it and link to its privacy information before use where required.
Google Analytics
WaSize may use Google Analytics to understand site performance and aggregate visitor behavior. Google Analytics may process information such as pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, device details and interactions. Where consent is legally required, analytics storage will remain disabled until you choose to accept it. You can learn about Google's practices in its partner sites explanation.
Cookies, web beacons and similar technologies
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. Web beacons or pixels are small technologies that can record events such as an ad impression or page visit. Advertising and analytics providers may use these technologies to measure performance, prevent fraud, cap ad frequency and, with appropriate permission, personalize content or ads. See the Cookie Policy for categories and controls.
When we share information
We do not sell a database of names, email addresses or uploaded images. We may share limited information with service providers that host, secure, analyze or monetize the site; when required by law or valid legal process; to investigate fraud or security threats; or during a genuine business reorganization. Providers receive only the information reasonably needed for their role and operate under their own terms and privacy duties.
Some providers may process data outside your country. Where applicable, transfers are protected using recognized safeguards such as adequacy decisions or contractual protections.
Your GDPR rights
If the GDPR or similar law applies to you, you may have rights to:
- access personal data we hold about you;
- correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
- request deletion of data in qualifying circumstances;
- restrict or object to certain processing;
- receive eligible data in a portable format;
- withdraw consent; and
- complain to your local data protection authority.
Email your request to eldhopaulose125@gmail.com. We may request reasonable information to verify your identity. These rights can be limited by legal exceptions.
California privacy rights
California residents may have rights under the CCPA, as amended by the CPRA, including the right to know and access, correct, delete, opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, limit certain uses of sensitive personal information, and receive equal service without discrimination for exercising a privacy right.
WaSize does not knowingly sell personal information for money. Some advertising activity may be treated as “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law. Where required, WaSize will honor applicable opt-out requests and recognized preference signals such as Global Privacy Control. Submit a request by email. We may need to verify requests to know, correct or delete.
Children's privacy
WaSize is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it. Users who are minors should use the site with a parent or guardian as required by local law.
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to a small web service. Local image processing reduces the need to transfer private photos. No online system is completely secure, however, so we cannot promise absolute security.
Third-party links
WaSize may link to third-party sites. Their privacy practices are controlled by them, not by WaSize. Review their policies before submitting information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the site, providers or applicable rules change. The date at the top shows the latest revision. Material changes may also be highlighted on the site or in a consent message where appropriate.
